"It has been an amazing journey for me as a part of BSA community. It will be the most memorable time of my life. It all started with a very casual practice session in Feb 2014 on Athletic ground, when I went there with Ankit Mandawat just to try myself out in running. following this, there were some very hard and painful practice sessions but then there was a team with which you will laugh, go out to have fun and tease each other. Those were the moments that made me come to the ground again and again. Perhaps, every sports person might have an attached feeling with their sport for which they push themselves to the extreme limits. You make friends for life from sports who value the same principles of sports spirit as you do and I have been very lucky to work with such people for last three years (if not for that session with Ankit).
Last year was very special. The biggest moment for me was fighting as a team and lifting the runner up trophy in Inter IIT after 6 long years, the feeling that can't be summed up in words. The biggest factor behind this success, was the bonding across teams, which was very pleasing to see in Inter IIT. The credit is shared by so many people, including captains, vice captains and coaches, that I might even end up forgetting some of them. But I believe that one person who deserves most of the credit is Ishan Tyagi. You have been the superhero that BSA needed. Such has been your hard work and dedication that people look up to you for motivation. BSA is lucky to have gems like Dhritiraj, Dubey, Rutha ma'am, Tomar, Sahaj, JP sir , Amit Kothari, Saurabh Deopuri and also super seniors like Adwait sir, Bharti ma'am, who have always been a call away from us, to contribute for the sports fraternity of IITD. There have been some super juniors as well in likes of Anuja, Karan, Prateek, Yash Malviya and Adhhayan who have taken the standard of sports to another level here in IITD. Not to forget, Dileep Pudi, the star of BSA and Rahul Jhajhria, the inspiration of many including me. Thanks to the Athletics family, especially to Saurabh Deopuri, for those endless laughs and races.
The biggest takeaway, out of this journey for me, will be the friends that i have made for life through BSA who share the same interest and have fought for same cause. i will miss every moment of it. I wish good luck to the incoming team. I believe that BSA is in good hands of Ashim, Rushil, executive team and we will lift the General championship in next Inter IIT. I apologize if I have missed someone. Thank you for being the part of this amazing journey. Goodbye and Good luck.
